Nowadays, if I see a hypertext, I would first think that what it leads to is the explanation of the hypertexted word/phrase/image — so the hypertexted one is a very concise summary of all the ideas/information that would come up after clicking, just as a sub-title without being explicitily stated.
- The first example in my mind is **Wikipedia**: a hypertext that leads to a new field.
- Or a Twine game.
- Or an author could cleverly use it to introduce their new argument. Yet, this text seems not to be doing so.
